Flotilla to Launch Kawana Couple on Exciting New Life
Michael Rigby isnt the type of guy who does things by
halves.
The forty something owner of the Supermarine luxury boat dealership
on the Nicklin Way is getting married at Kawana Islands
Double Bay this weekend and hes made sure the bridal party
is arriving in style.
Two luxury cruisers and one speed boat valued over $600,000
from leading American boatmaker Chaparral will make their way
down Lake Parrearra to Double Bay where Michael and Linda will
exchange their vows on the beach and then celebrate with nearly
200 family and friends at Montegos waterfront restaurant.
Local entrepreneur and family friend Josh Hunt has also joined
in the celebrations by offering his luxury limousine to the
couple for the day.
Neither of us have been married before so we really wanted
to do it in style and share our special day with lots of our
good friends, Michael said.
The couple have also decided to make a lifestyle decision by
purchasing a St Kitts penthouse apartment on Kawana Island.
Ive still got my waterfront home at Kawana Quays
but we really wanted to move into a new home together so we
could start afresh and lead the lifestyle which we preach to
our customers every day, Michael said.
The St Kitts apartment is great for our new lifestyle.
Its as big as a traditional home and yet its maintenance
free. We get 180 degree water views from the lake below as well
ocean views from Kawana beach but we dont get any of the
problems caused by salt air if we lived on the beachfront.
Our company sells a range of boats, kayaks and other
watercraft so the waterfront is a great place to test these
products and show them to potential customers, he said.
Michael also sees an opportunity to add more of his luxury
boats to the twenty pontoon spaces which are currently available
at St Kitts.
I see them like fingers on a hand. Ive got the
diamond rings and Id love to add more to each finger,
he said.
But for now, hes focusing on just one wedding ring for
Linda.
The three luxury boats arriving tomorrow morning will provide
a great photo/film opportunity. The flotilla is expected to
arrive at DoubleBayKawanaIsland at 10.30am Saturday 19th December.
