St Kitts receives major HIA Sunshine Coast Award
The RGD Property Groups reputation for quality and innovation
took another major step forward after the St Kitts apartments
on Kawana Island collected the HIA Sunshine Coast Apartment
Project of the Year on Saturday night.
RGD director Tony Long said the St Kitts award was the third
HIA award his company had won in two years on Kawana Island
after successfully winning awards for the Leeward Apartments
as well as the Montegos on the Bay dining precinct.
The 86 three bedroom St Kitts apartments overlook Double Bays
white sandy beaches, parklands, playgrounds and the multi-award
winning Montegos on the Bay dining precinct is within
easy walking distance.
Mr Long said the HIA awards were a validation of RGDs
vision to create an Island destination where people can live,
work, socialize and play in an outstanding waterfront environment.
Weve come up against some terrific competition
at the awards this year, there are many exciting developments
on the Sunshine Coast and we are really pleased to receive this
recognition from our industry peers, he said.
Mr Long said one of the major challenges at St Kitts was the
decision to introduce premium priced apartments away from the
traditional tourist holiday markets of Mooloolaba, Caloundra
and Noosa.
Before now, Kawana Island was a precinct dominated by
residential detached dwellings, there was very few large medium
density projects within a predominantly low density residential
communities on the Sunshine Coast, he said.
Mr Long said he thought there were several reasons why St Kitts
won on Saturday night.
The combination of size, luxury fittings and fixtures,
uninterrupted water views and a private marina berth for penthouse
purchasers is an offer which is not just unique to the Sunshine
Coast as buyers would be hard pressed to find something similar
anywhere in South East Queensland.
There are few other opportunities to live on an Island
on the Sunshine Coast. Its an exclusive lifestyle on offer
and one which should see positive capital gains because of its
access to water and its central location in the heart of the
Sunshine Coast, he said.
