started with the construction of dwelling units and with its
unrivaled performance was classified as Class "A"
Contractor to compete with international contractors.
TCL’s success in the construction industry and a performing
Gambian economy led to a diversification into Estate development,
building materials and the construction of hotel facilities
to meet an increasing/insatiable demand for hotel beds.

tourism sector has gained international recognition leading

Taf Construction Ltd
TCL, the construction wing, is the brain child of Taf Holding
Co. Ltd.
No construction project is too big or too small for TCL. TCL
is engaged in the following construction activities:

Taf Estate Developers (TED)
TED is the one and only Estate development agency in The Gambia.
On record, TED has successfully developed and furnished self-catering
apartments, namely: 3Nos. rented two-bedroom self-catering apartments
short, medium and long terms.
TED develops, sells, leases or rent middle and high-income dwellings.
Taf Building Products (TBP)
The showroom and stores are located along the Banjul/Serrekunda
highway. TBP sells the following: ceramic tiles, red and white
timber, cement, sliding windows and doors, ironmongery, iron
rods, sanitary wares. TBP is the agent for UK based REID STRUCTURAL
SYSTEMS and ARMITAGE SHANKS.
TBP is open to procurement of quality building materials from
abroad.
Taf Tourism Development - TAFBEL
Given Gambia’s tourism potential and the recent boom in
tourism, Tafbel Tourism Development developed a 200 bed 4-star
hotel. The hotel caters for both tourists and business travelers.
Tafbel Tourism Development intends to develop more facilities
of this nature and would welcome partnership or joint venture
arrangements from any interested parties.
Taf Housing Projects
"Operation House the Nation":
TAF Holding is the pioneer in housing development in the private
sector. The project is co-financed by Shelter Afrique. The project,
which started early 2000, caters for all levels of society.
It is divided into four categories: one for the very high-income
group; the second one is for the moderately high-income group,
the third for middle and the fourth for the low-income group.
Taf is looking at low-income housing where it is planned to
utilize locally available materials with appropriate technology
to produce, among other things, stabilized laterite bricks for
the construction of core houses. 1000 units are to be built
by 2005 all over the country.
Taf’s objective is to develop existing and new project
through global partnerships and joint ventures in order to be
enlisted on the open market in the future.
The African Enterprise Network:
TAF holding Co. belongs and actively participate to The African
Enterprise Network, launched in 2000 in Addis Ababa and which
comprises over 500 African entrepreneurs from over 31 African
countries. The initiative is sponsored by OECD, USAID and other
donors. The objective is to engage governments in a dialogue
on policy changes for sustainable development and to encourage
cross border trade and investment within the continent.
